I was having so much fun that I missed August passing me by! Hope you are enjoying the last days of summer tending to garden and enjoying some sunshine. The change of season is definitely in the air in Central Pennsylvania so it's a great time to do a little changing around here too.
Yep, MORE change! Let's start with a little Friday Fun!
I am HOOKED on sketches! Like you didn't know that already! While prepping for my Sketch Class over at The Art Studio@SNR I realized just how much more I was getting done because of using Sketches. It's hard to really explain, only if you have as much STUFF as I do, would you realize that the piles were shrinking, bit by bit, as I worked to complete samples for class. This is a very good thing for me and those of you who have seen my STASH...know what I mean. So I figure if it works for me...it might just work for you! It also fits right in with the "change" theme that has been going on around here for the last year. So here we go...I think I've actually shared this one before, but it has become a favorite so I'm sharing again...from Sketchy Thursday's...another "old" favorite that's no longer publishing but has left the site up and running to share their sketches and provide us "sketcher's" with LOADS of inspiration.

And a few of my interpretations of the sketch. First a 6" x 6" layout. Love the "short and sweet" of working in the smaller scale and it's a great way to use up some of those single photo's and single letters, flowers, brads, buttons and stickers left on packages!

My goals... to reduce my stash, complete ALOT of layouts and projects, use my tools and photo's, have fun and create a few gifts while I'm at it. Soooo...my challenge for the weekend, week, month...whatever works for you (I'm doing at least a week)....USE THE SKETCH...to create whatever you want...even a canvas or two. Since June I've finished over 100 layouts in all sizes...I'm still on the mission and going to get work for 100 more....fingers crossed that happens before the end of this month!!!
What are you waiting for? It's Friday! Have some Fun and Get Sketchin!!!!
